Joining the choir
We welcome new singers!
Experienced as well as talented young singers who are interested in a multifaceted choral programme at a professional level are welcome to attend one or two trial rehearsals at the Riedmatt School Auditorium (Aula) in Zug at any time.
We rehearse every Monday from 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm (except during school holidays).
Overview of the essentials
Admission to the choir
After a few trial rehearsals, singers interested in joining the choir are invited to an audition by the choral director. A basic knowledge of music, a good sense of rhythm and a good voice quality are expected. New members are formally admitted by the Executive Committee of the choir at the end of each quarter and are expected to commit themselves to at least a full year of membership.
Membership
In order to prepare effectively for concerts and to cultivate a spirit of community, members are expected to attend rehearsals regularly and punctually. The minimum required attendance quota is 75% of the rehearsals.
Annual subscription
Choir members pay an annual subscription of CHF 200. The amount for students or trainees is reduced to CHF 100.
Ongoing musical training
Choir members wishing to develop their vocal skills have the opportunity to take vocal training lessons offered by the Music School of Zug.
